These new EEG features can help you streamline your MRI procedures

When you’re pulled away to prep a patient, the last thing you need is equipment that gets in the way short leads, fragile connectors, and tangles that slow you down.

Designed to simplify EEG in critical care

The Ambu® Neuroline™ Cup MRI/CT solution addresses the everyday usability frustrations EEG techs encounter during patient setup and long-term monitoring of ICU patients requiring MRI scans. The features are designed to promote uninterrupted monitoring and longer wear time.

Features include the longest array leads in the market,* a simple-to-use snap-in hub connector, and integrated bundling tools for the array leads and harness cables.

Smooth array handling and long-term wear time

The longest array leads on the market* make it easy to position the electrodes during application and promote long-term wear time and increased efficiency.

  • Simple to position the electrodes on the scalp compared to other electrodes with shorter leads
  • Mitigates the risk of electrodes detaching unexpectedly during monitoring
  • Pre-attached flexible and soft leads minimize patient discomfort during long-term EEG monitoring

Connecting the array and harness is a snap

The snap-in hub connector makes it simple and intuitive to connect the array and harness. If an EEG tech isn’t available, a nurse or anyone else on your care team can easily connect and disconnect the harness and array.

  • Color-coded parts click firmly into place, even when the patient is being moved or repositioned
  • Design feels natural and controlled, with no latches or awkward mechanisms
  • Disconnecting for an MRI scan is just as simple and smooth

Easy to keep leads neatly bundled during application

The LeadMaster™ feature streamlines preparation by making it simple to create an even, orderly arrangement of leads. The bundle stays put as you prepare the patient for MRI positioning, and it reduces the need for tape and other messy workarounds.

  • Individually adjust leads: Just slide and fasten to the length needed
  • Avoid taping, knotting, or manual bundling
  • Minimize MRI prep time by ensuring accurate electrode placement

Maintain a neat, stable setup even when the patient moves around

The HarnessMaster™ feature is built into the snap-on reusable harness module. Because the cables stay in one stable unit, your setup looks cleaner and becomes easier to manage, especially when patients are being moved or repositioned.

  • Locks the soft but sturdy harness cables together with a simple, secure mechanism
  • Prevents cables from spreading apart, twisting, or pulling on the patient
  • High-quality harness module is designed to be reused up to 100 times

Detail-oriented design

You’ll feel the detail-oriented, user-centric design of the array and harness in the end connectors, too. During a long shift when you have to connect and disconnect to the headbox repeatedly, you and your fingers will appreciate the flat, ergonomic design. Its shape reduces finger strain and supports quick handling.

A reliable, efficient supply of electrodes

Our ownership of every stage of the product life cycle enables us to work closely with EEG tech managers and hospital procurement to ensure a reliable, streamlined supply of products. Because the Ambu® Neuroline™ Cup MRI/CT solution  is part of the complete Neuroline EEG portfolio, you can standardize electrode supplies for the majority of EEG application types.

A circular approach to sustainability

Ambu's commitment to reducing our environmental footprint extends throughout the life cycle of our products. From raw material extraction to disposal after use, we aim to create solutions that not only improve healthcare for professionals and their patients but also have the lowest environmental footprint possible.

In the case of our EEG portfolio, this manifests itself in the form of our ongoing move toward fully recyclable packaging across the EEG portfolio, a commitment to only developing new products that are 100% PVC-free, and continuous efforts to reduce the carbon footprint of our primary packaging.

For example, in the case of the Neuroline EEG Harness:

  • Designed to be reused up to 100 times
  • Reusing it 100 times has the potential to reduce its carbon footprint up to 96% compared to a single-use harness that is only used once
  • Can be cleaned with wipes in minutes, supporting both efficiency and reduced waste
